Woohoo, my first trip not ranging from residence in 6 months. I used to be motivated as yesterday was my first trip of 2021 in shorts, and tonight France is sort of actually going to announce stricter lockdown situations. 🙁
A part of my 2021 Biking Problem was to climb 100 cols, so I wanted to get transferring as I’ve been biking the 5 cols close to me again and again. 🙂
The loop climbs Col de Richemond (1060m) then visits a number of close by Cols atop the Plateau de Retord, lastly descending again to the beginning through Col de Cuvery (1178m). See backside map with all of the cols labeled. Be aware, whereas I’d go to 6 Cols, I didn’t actually climb 6 cols. Specifically, Col de Bérentin and Col de Cuvery are higher climbs from their different aspect – see right here and right here.
Col de Richemond and Col de Cuvery are in the identical massif, simply north of, the higher recognized and harder Grand Colombier and Col de la Biche – particulars.
But it surely’s a really good loop. Nothing spectacular, however scenic and quiet:
See right here for a map and hyperlinks to all my rides within the Jura mountains.
